These fritters have crisp exteriors with melt-in-the-mouth interiors. Some people add fish to these fritters, considering it is a staple food there.

PAANCH PHORAN TORKARI: This dish is very popular in Mizoram and is prepared in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions. In the vegetarian version, it is made with brinjal, pumpkins, and potatoes in the non-vegetarian version, it is mostly prepared with chicken. True to its name, it is spiced perfectly well.

MIZO VAWKSA: This is yet another popular dish in Mizoram. The star of this dish is pork, which is flavoured with some delicious herbs. The pork is smoked and cut into cubes that are soft and made just right.

CHHUM HAN: It is a popular vegetarian dish which is made with mixed steamed vegetables. It tastes the best when paired with rice. The nutritional dish is made with broccoli, cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, and ginger. This dish will surely make for a healthy treat!

BAMBOO SHOOT STIR FRY: This bamboo shoot delicacy has fried bamboo tossed with herbs. In some cases, shitake mushrooms and other vegetables are added to the amazing delicacy. Known to be a light snack in Mizoram, it is generally enjoyed in the evening along with tea.

MIZO BAI: The key factor of this dish is that it is prepared using lots of locally available herbs and spices. The main ingredients include pork, bamboo shoots, and steamed vegetables. Some even consume this as a soup, before starting off with their main course. This is a very popular dish in Mizoram and is easily available everywhere in the state.

ZU: Zu, the Mizo beer is the local drink which they have with almost every meal. It is made from fermented rice, millet, or maize.
