‘SEASONAL FLU’ OR SO WE CALL IT!

Reading Time: < 1 minute

With every weather change, we see flu-like episodes all around us.  People suffering from fever, malaise, running nose, cough, etc. are seen in almost every household.

We usually say that it is ‘seasonal’, but is it so?

The flu is not a season! It is an inability of the body to adapt due to decreased sun exposure and water intake, combined with increased sugar intake and stress. This may sound quite contrary to what we have heard or believe, but there is no such thing as ‘flu season’.

We often see 2 people exposed to the same environment/virus, and yet only one of them manifests the symptoms. The other one may have mild or no symptoms at all. Why is it so?

When our immune system is weakened, we are more susceptible to any sickness, not just flu. Contracting the disease/virus simply means that our immune system is weak.

This does not mean that ‘healthy’ people never fall sick, but the duration of sickness is far shorter than the others. These are the people who flood their bodies with nutrients from fruits and vegetables and stay hydrated.

So, what should we do prevent flu-like episodes?

  1. Stay hydrated throughout the day. You don’t have to have just water to stay hydrated, you can have coconut water, buttermilk or alkaline water (add your favourite vegetable or fruit to water). To hydrate on a therapeutic level, calculate your water intake according to your weight.
  2. Turn your kitchen counter and. Refrigerator into “medicine cabinet” or a “FARMACY”. Pick your prescription from the kitchen and not a chemist.

Eat more foods from the earth and not from machines. This will help your body create resistance to most diseases and help your body heal. Find out here how to increase your immunity naturally.
